We spent the day in Salem and learned about the city's maritime history, pirate history, and witch history. We did not learn anything about this guy, who is not a witch. He is Roger Conant, founder of Salem. I turned to Wikipedia to learn about him.

Not A Witch

Ocean Illumination
You would think that after reading an article (twice over) about how to take great fireworks pictures, and the thing it mentioned about 5,000 times was that you should use a tripod...you would think I would have brought my tripod with me, right? But I didn't. So my shots of the fireworks sucked, but I do love this one of the "ocean illumination" prior to the fireworks.
