I did the poaching


I am easily one of the least culinarily inclined in the family. This is a salad that Emily found a recipe for and has introduced to our Christmas Eve meal (lasagna ever since we all had enough and told mom how yucky the fish she used to make was). It has poached pears, candied walnuts, and gorgonzola cheese, and it's delicious. One of my favorite things about going down to VA to see the fam is all the yummy food - old family favorites and new yummy recipes.
